Data Protection Notice

This notice has been prepared under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) by Vega Oto Kiralama Turizm İnşaat Tic. ve San. A.Ş., whose details appear above, acting as data controller.

Through the request forms on this site we process your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message.

For corporate requests we additionally process the company name, tax number and tax office.

Technically, we record the submission date, language preference, browser information and an irreversibly hashed form of your IP address. Your IP address is not stored in plain form.

Your data is processed to assess your request, respond to you, prepare a quote and carry out the rental process.

Processing is based on Article 5/2-(c) of the KVKK (directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract) and Article 5/2-(f) (legitimate interest). Where explicit consent is required, it is obtained separately.

Vega Car Rental is an authorized Garenta dealer. Bookings are completed through Garenta systems, and the data required for this may be shared with Garenta.

Your data may also be processed within the systems of our hosting, database and email delivery providers. Where a transfer abroad occurs, Article 9 of the KVKK applies.

Your personal data is retained for the limitation periods set out in applicable legislation after the processing purpose ends, and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Request data you submit through the form is kept for at most 24 months after your request is concluded if no contractual relationship arises between us. If a rental relationship is established, the data is retained for the limitation and retention periods set out in the applicable legislation.

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it is, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction, to request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred, to object to a result against you arising from analysis solely by automated systems, and to claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.

You can submit your requests in writing through the channels listed on our contact page. Your application is concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request; where the process incurs an additional cost, a fee from the tariff set by the Board may apply.
