FAQ

About renting

What documents do I need at collection?

A valid driving licence, an ID card or passport, and a credit card issued in the driver’s name. The deposit is held on that card; debit and prepaid cards are not accepted. Licences not in the Latin alphabet must be presented together with an international driving permit.

Can I rent if I am below the minimum age?

Each vehicle class has a minimum age, and paying the additional young-driver fee lowers it by one step. In the economy class, for example, the minimum age of 21 drops to 20 with the young-driver package. The licence-tenure requirement flexes similarly. Your eligibility is shown at the booking step.

How does the deposit work?

The deposit is an amount held on your credit card separately from the rental fee; it is not charged. The hold is released when you return the car undamaged, with the fuel at the contracted level, and on time. Depending on your bank, it can take a few working days to appear back on your card.

Is there a mileage limit?

A limit of 500 km per day applies, calculated as a total across the rental period — a three-day rental gives you 1,500 km. Beyond that, a per-kilometre charge applies; the current rate is stated in your contract. If you are planning long drives, talk to us before booking.

What is the fuel policy?

The car is returned at the same fuel level at which it was handed over. If it is returned with less, the difference is charged together with the fuel cost and a refuelling service fee. Keeping your fuel receipt makes any dispute easier to settle.

Can I take the car abroad?

Taking a rental car out of the country is not covered by the standard contract. Cross-border use — including ferry crossings to the Greek islands — requires prior written permission and additional insurance. If you are planning this, speak to your branch before booking.
